Not enough time...

Hi there!
Haven't spent so much time crocheting these last days. Some friends helped us putting up a wall in our living room and now we're painting and busy tidying to make room for new furniture. I hope to show you pictures of our new living room soon. A few days in a house by the sea might give me time to crochet more - hope so!
Also working on a small webshop - so stay connected.

Soon I'm going on a vacation with my lovely family. Really looking forward to it.

Still making head bands. If you'd like to buy one, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Wanted to show you this beautiful chinese candy box... Had a nice day in Copenhagen with my father's sister the other day. Bought the candy in my favourite chinese shop.

A birthday present in advance. From Urban Outfitters

Cute vintage hair clips from Astas. Have a nice vacation, if you're going... See you later

DIY - small pouch for role play

Cut out a circle of leather or suede. Use a pen to make marks where you want the holes

Punch holes all the way round

Slip a thread through the holes

Pull the thread and tie a bow. Attach beads at the ends. There you go - a nice little gift to give away to the child that likes role play. It only takes 10-15 minutes to make this

How to customize a shirt

1. Buy a simple shirt. This one was on sale for 20 Dkr.

2. Find your scraps of yarn in the colours you like

3. Crochet small circles with two different colours. Weave in ends

4. Attach the circles to the shirt. I used my sewing machine for this part. Now you have a unique shirt and people will surely think that it costed a lot more than 20 Dkr. Enjoy!

Jar cover and rug

Inspired by the book "Lazy Crochet" I made this jar cover. Still love the idea of recycling...

Speaking of recycling: I'm working on this rug made out of some of my husband's old shirts and other fabrics. The hook is a 15 mm!
A happy day to you:)

Little green dog

Here's the green dog, I was telling you about. He was inspired by the watercolour paintings.

Please click to enlarge the picture if you want to see the details of my dog. I made a pattern as I went along. Still dreaming about and working on that book...

Watercolour amigurumi

I was painting with the boys. We sat in the sun and the colours dried fast.

It's fun to make different expressions on the faces of the small amigurumi animals. It's a bit more difficult when you crochet

These painted amigurumi creatures inspires me to crochet. A little green dog is on its way...

The making of a face

Working on a little bear and now to the making of the face. Started with the white of the eyes made of felt.

Then sewed the black of the eyes on to the white circle

Attaching the ears

With embroidery thread I sewed the nose and the mouth. The expression of the face makes it look like a girl, I think

And here she is - all finished...

Little lamb

Hi there! I finished this little lamb this morning. Isn't she cute? Found her in the book by Tamie Snow: Tiny Yarn Animals. I love that book, and the lamb is the first animal I've crocheted from it, but certainly not the last. Have a nice day!

Creative!

Here's the headband I was working on in the weekend. It turned out quite nice, I think. So that was me being creative...

My youngest son, Sylvester, is going to a birthday party tomorrow. He's going with his kindergarten, and they don't bring presents to the birthday child. But he's creative and made a little drawing for his friend. He made an envelope and wrote "To Sammi. From Sylvester" on it. He's so loving and thoughtful.

Nature's creative! Spring is so overwhelming. Before you know it the magnolia unfolds, and a week or two later the leaves fall of. You just have to be sure that you enjoy it while it lasts...

Childhood Nostalgia

I don't know what it is with me these past few days... It seems that I'm looking for old memories in everything and finding traces of my own history in different items found in the basement or in the boys' room. These are my first shoes...

I was born in 1974. I remember this holder for the milk cartons. We used it every day and you can see it on photographs from my birthdays, when I was a little girl. Why don't we use these anymore?

Long weekend

It's been such a nice weekend - with time to do some of the things I like...

Drinking coffee in the garden. Baked a carrot cake, but I didn't take a picture of it, sorry...

Doing some tidying. Found some of my mother's old books - with bite marks from her dog.

My mother's handwriting - 10 years old. Thinking about her today since it's Mother's Day...

Crocheting in the sun. I love it!

Working on a head band. I'll show it to you when it's finished.

Looking at the cat taking a nap in the chair. She looks cute. But she's a dangerous killer! As we ate our supper she came in from the garden to show us the big mouse, she just caught.

A snail for you

This cute snail was made from a pattern provided by Roxycraft. You find the pattern here. I have to finish my coffee and go to work. Talk to you later...

I'm back on the blog!

Yeah, I'm back... And I'm sorry I haven't been so productive lately... Today I went to a flea market, where I found this little happy fellow. My husband bought it for me:-)

I made a scoop at the flea market: found a small Mulberry leather bag for the price of 10 Dkr! It's beautyful and looks all new.

Finished this small spring ballerina yesterday. She has a big nose and she's a little shy. But when the music starts to play she dances and forgets...

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend - I know I did. So long...
